when you do find it, I'd like to know which it is so I can go where ya got it originally and see how it's made that makes it different from other defaults. Well, I'm not saying it is infallible, just that in my experience it's had no trouble finding either type of default replacement skintone because it was specifically programmed to do so.

If I rename the desired default skintone file (the one i know the name of) with a Z or a _ will it override the other one? Will it need to first or last to do so? I know with hacks the name can be important in how it loads and if one hack loads before another it caused problems. So my real question besides any further advice (I'll keep searching for it using method 2) is whether I can use a simple basic fix by having the desired default skin overide the crappy version by changing the name. Search your Downloads folder for the word "default" - most creators of default replacements use that word in their file name. Working on this, got a bit of downloads without type listed However, you will be able to click on the items and view their textures (you may have to hit next a few times on the texture display to see that it's a skintone) to see which might be a skintone to remove it. Default replacements, among other things, will have nothing under Type - it will be blank. Use Clean Installer to scan your Downloads folder. I take it some defaults can not show up under "replacement" category then? It's not perfect? Removed everything listed under replacement, entered bodyshop and no change on the defaults for skin 1+2. Default replacements will have a type of "replacement" so you can find any defaults easily to remove them.

The easiest method is to get Delphy's Download Organiser and use it to scan your downloads. I did look at the wiki and followed the steps: Not so with the default skintone I'm trying to use for skins 1+2. I didn't download a tan + dark (3+4) from the same place so when I add a newer custom default it shows up and works fine. I've found that at somepoint I downloaded a crappy default skintone for my pale and normal skintones (1+2) that I just detest.
